Reaping what you sow

‘Blowback’ is a CIA term that effectively means what ever you are trying to fund or twist in another country suddenly, ‘blows back’ in your face, kinda like pissing into the wind, but with much more deadly consequences.

There are thousands of examples of America playing God in other peoples countries (usually for the advancement of their corporate elites) and it coming back to bite them in the arse. Saddam Hussein, Osama Bin Laden, Pol Pot – all were funded and backed by the CIA, all turned into monsters. Hell we can see CIA blowback right now in Somalia (which we have written extensively about on this site) and the fraudulent theft of the Mexican election which still has the potential to turn into a massive conflict right on Americas border.

But America isn’t the only one, what many of you might not know was how Israel funded and helped start HAMAS…..

"Israel and Hamas may currently be locked in deadly combat, but, according to several current and former U.S. intelligence officials, beginning in the late 1970s, Tel Aviv gave direct and indirect financial aid to Hamas over a period of years. Israel 'aided Hamas directly – the Israelis wanted to use it as a counterbalance to the PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization),' said Tony Cordesman, Middle East analyst for the Center for Strategic [and International] Studies. Israel's support for Hamas 'was a direct attempt to divide and dilute support for a strong, secular PLO by using a competing religious alternative,' said a former senior CIA official."

Middle East analyst Ray Hanania concurs:

"In addition to hoping to turn the Palestinian masses away from Arafat and the PLO, the Likud leadership believed they could achieve a workable alliance with Islamic, anti-Arafat forces that would also extend Israel's control over the occupied territories."

In a conscious effort to undermine the Palestine Liberation Organization and the leadership of Yasser Arafat, in 1978 the government of then-Prime Minister Menachem Begin approved the application of Sheik Ahmad Yassin to start a "humanitarian" organization known as the Islamic Association, or Mujama. The roots of this Islamist group were in the fundamentalist Muslim Brotherhood, and this was the seed that eventually grew into Hamas – but not before it was amply fertilized and nurtured with Israeli funding and political support.

The Hamas infrastructure of mosques, clinics, kindergartens, and other educational institutions flourished not only because they were lavishly funded, but also due to being efficiently run. Sheik Yassin and the future leaders of Hamas acquired a reputation for "clean" governance and good administrative practices, which would greatly aid them – especially in comparison to the PLO, which was widely perceived as corrupt. Indeed, "clean government" – and not the necessity of armed struggle – was the main theme of their successful election campaign.

The response of Israel and the U.S. has been shock, horror – and a stated refusal to deal with any government dominated by Hamas. U.S. congressional leaders – who unhelpfully passed a resolution prior to the Palestinian poll that demanded Hamas be banned from running – are now calling the entire "peace process" into question. Yet no one acknowledges that the victory of the Suicide Bombers Party demonstrated, in practice, an ancient principle expressed, I believe, by no less an authority than the Bible (Galatians 6:7):

"Be not deceived. God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."

..........................................Saddam Hussein was funded and given military aid from America throughout the 1980s. Satellite images pinpointing Iranian troop deployments, ingredients for Saddams’ chemical and biological warfare programs (the reason the Americans were convinced Saddam still had WMDs was because they had the receipts from all the weapons they had sold him in the 1980s, hahaha – oh the irony) and of course the helicopters America sold Saddam that he used to gas 5000 Kurds. The State Department defended Saddam at the time by calling him a ‘force for moderation in the region’ – killing 5000 people is a ‘force for moderation’ – fuck I’d love to see what they call ‘extreme’. Saddam only fell out with his American masters when he went above his mandate and invaded Kuwait. Even the resulting draconian economic sanctions placed upon Iraq (which killed hundreds of thousands of children) only ended up crushing the Iraqi people further under the heel of Saddam rather than allowing the Iraqi people the ability to resist and overthrow Saddam on their own. None of this was pointed out to the American public in their run up to the war in Iraq.

Osama Bin Laden was just a disaffected rich kid until he joined the radicalized Muslim Brotherhood. In 1979, the Americans, still licking their wounds from Vietnam, decided the Soviet Union needed their own Vietnam war, and started supplying mujahideen with weapons and training, funneled through the Pakistani secret intelligence service (ISI). One group given extra funding was the Muslim Brotherhood because they were fanatics, this was the group Bin Laden was connected to and he came under special scrutiny for funding by the ISI because of his recruitment talents. When the Soviet Union collapsed 10 years later, the US didn’t thank Afghanistan for allowing the world tom play out a global game of chess on their war torn country and offer to rebuild, they simply abandoned these heavily armed, well trained mujahideen led by Bin Laden all on their own and fester. We next heard from Bin Laden on September 11th. Incidentally the way this secret war was funded was through Heroin manufacturing labs all along the Afghanistan/Pakistan border – it is a shocking fact that the majority of smack being bought on the streets of America during the 1980s was coming from a war that no one sanctioned.

Cambodia became a target to a secret bombing campaign during the Vietnam war because Vietcong would cross the border and launch raids from Cambodia. The country was decimated and led to the rise of Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge, supported by America as an communist force (I even think NZ voted in favour of Pol Pot at the UN in an attempt by America to gain Pol Pot some type of authentic claim to power). Pol Pot went on to commit genocide.

I’m not even going to start with South America and the paramilitary death squads America funded which during the 1980s butchered around 300 000 South Americans.

...maybe those who fire rockets into Israel, then kill and kidnap the two Israeli soldiers in the first instance, should take note also.

.........................................And maybe a country should look at its offensive military over-reaction that has seen UN observation posts , fleeing refugees and ambulances tartged. There is no military solution to this conflict. The military 'solution' is turning the moderate population of Lebanon more radical, just as has happened in Palestine. This will led to more radical resistance and fighting till a stand still as happened the last time Israel invaded Lebanon in the 1980s. What part am I missing here?

The Lebanese people, as well as Hizbollah, need to face one fact: Israel is not going to stop attacking the murderers who hide behind women and children, and rain missles on Israel. If the Lebanese care about their families, they will get them out of the way. If I saw a bunch of cowards setting up rockets in my back alley, or across the street, or even blocks away, I would grab my wife and kids and get them the hell out of harms way. If I failed to do so, I would have no one to blame but myself, if they were injured or killed.

The world needs to stop whining about an immediate cease fire, and about a UN peace-keeping force. The UN is a joke and a disgrace, and should be booted out of New York. Let them go set up in Lebanon.

I hope Israel keeps it up, unitl every single Hizbollah fighter, and all their sympathizers, have been issued their ration of virgins. This has been brewing for over 40 years, and it is time for Israel to settle it once and for all. If the Palestinians and Lebanese want to fight, let them bring it on. And if Syria and Iran want some, let them jump in as well. The Israelis can handle them all, and if they need help from the US, all they have to do is ask! The Europeans and the UN/appeasement crowd can just get over it.

Seriously? If you saw a bunch of cowards setting up rockets in your back alley you'd walk away from your house, your business, the neighbourhood your family has lived in for generations. Does your wife know about this?
