Prohibition doesn’t work!

Oh no, someone is wanting to do good by prohibiting something. Party Pills are a cheap high that when compared to the negative wider societal impact of booze and ciggies don’t even scrape into the ‘dangerous’ column. Personally I steer clear of them, they make you feel like you have two hangovers the next day, but I don’t support prohibition of Party Pills for the same reasons I don’t support prohibition of tobacco. All this move will do is push everything underground, it’s something else the gangs will sell, this move will help them pay for their next pimp mobile and their kids education. Put restrictions on Party Pills and enforce the restrictions – prohibition doesn’t work!

Committee calls for ban on 'party pills'
The Government has been advised to outlaw the sale of "party pills" by an expert committee which has been studying their dangers.

The pills can be legally purchased by those over 18, but critics say their main active ingredient benzylpiperazine (BZP) is dangerous and pill doses are often far higher than recommended, leading to significant potential harm.

A Cabinet committee is looking at whether BZP and related substances commonly found in party pills should be banned or further restricted.

Be careful of the 'green hearts' floating around at the mo...they are super stong MDA/K mix at a guess. Taking 2 too close together leads to somewhat adverse side effects like seeing two packets of playing cards rotating past your hed like some planetary orbit...

HRT, oral contraceptives and many other 'drugs' should be available over the counter without prescription.

I do not need interfering, amateur know-it-alls telling me what is good or bad for me - I do my own research, seek my own professional advice and make my own decision ..... and accept any consequences.

If stupid old men want to take Viagra (with all its side effects and dangers) good luck to them, its none of my business

another one, i refer to the side effects section:

Viagra: Side Effects

The most common side effects of Viagra include headaches, facial flushing, and indigestion. The FDA also noted that three percent of men taking the little blue pill reported temporary changes in their vision, including light sensitivity and a bluish tinge in their vision.

In early May, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, meeting in San Francisco, urged that the problem be taken more seriously. "FDA clinical trials show that taking the medication, especially at higher doses, can cause some retinal dysfunction, and affect the way we see for a number of hours," association spokesman Dr. Michael F. Marmor said in a statement.

Marmor, a professor of ophthalmology at Stanford University, said a clinical study showed that electrical measures of retinal function dropped by 30 to 50 percent and lasted for at least five hours after taking a large dose of Viagra.

He suggested that people with retinal eye conditions such as macular degeneration or retinitis pigmentosa use the drug with caution, staying with the lowest dose possible.

The recommended dose level for most patients is 50 milligrams, according to the FDA.

see its not beating the meat that makes you go blind, its full blown sex, atleast if you cant get it up

Seems to me substances that only effect the using - HRT, Viagra etc. are nothing to do with me.

However things that effects others in society are a different matter.

There are always people who can not behave within boundaries of common sense (anything, even water, in overdose is bad) I get a bit sick of having my choices denied because of idiots - target the problem people and leave me alone.

I have to say if I could wave a wand and ban tobacco from the planet I would.

"" Thanks rambaldi, a lot of the lod guys at work take it regularly and I thought Id let them know as they seem to think it has none. Most appreciative. ""

You're seriously telling us there are people out there who believe there is such a thing as a drug with no side effects.

Gee some people really do need full time caregivers.

For the less bright here - ALL DRUGS HAVE SIDE EFFECTS - if they didn't they wouldn't work would they .....

It’s a simple mater of weighing up the positive side effects against any negative ones.

Google it you lazy moron.

All drug companies have their data sheets on the net and many countries have information from their health departments and universities - gee how hard is that.

Its all down to doing your own research and making your own decision – you know just like a grown up. If you can’t manage that just ask boomer what you should do, he knows everything and is always right.

I'm with you anon - if it knew there were side effects why did it say its little friends though it had NONE, and why did it come here to ask its simple question rather than investigate them itself.

Was going to say what the hell is Sponge Bob but google knows all. Guess this is what the soft dicks like - oh boy ...... http://www.spongebobworld.com/

Past the info onto those smart work associates of yours yet or do they still think this ......

Its sort of sweet that it was so grateful for the help .... Will it work out I wonder that was just one view - there’s a lot more out there for people who can read.

Maybe they should look at why their dicks are soft - Viagra is only masking symptoms that might indicative of something ......... well smart bob can look it up.

You are right misuse of other drugs is a major cause of soft dicks – people this smart are highly likely to be smokers and heavy drinkers as well as the other stuff. They probably think they have 'NONE' side effects as well.

What really breaks down in this fucked up country is the "freedom of choice" in some respect I guess, it is the reason I like going to the States, yes, yes fuck Brush and all that, but the topic is "party pills" I know people that take this stuff all the time, I don't know to much about it, yet in my opinion, it sorter defeats the purpose of doing drugs in the first place. {If you're that way inclined}

But back to the "freedom of choice" I like the state for some most obvious reasons, guns laws, so awesome.

But what I admire about Americans, is that they have a grown up attitude, lets face it, there's a heap of legal drugs in the states, yet your warned right, on the box, it says stuff like if you take this you could have trouble breathing or seeing this now becomes a choice of the free man, so why is this so different here? Why do we need these people to say its illegal? Is it not your choice to, have a go or say no?

In New Zealand, when do you become and adult here. Check this out, at the age of 15yrs you can get a licence to drive a car, 16yr you can have sex, 18yr buy party drugs & vote drink alcohol, 21yr the govt deems, your a free person, separate from your parents.

I know times are changing and these ages, I have mentioned vary, yet what happen to our rights to choose for ourselves.. You got to be naive to thing drugs have no side effects, but the high light on these party pills is also, in my opinion very naive.

I could take anyone into a chemist and for less than 40 bucks buy legal drugs over the counter that can do more damage than any of these party pills, so why aren't they looking at that?

for once I was going to agree with you..

untill I read the line calling for restrictions instead, which will still have similar effects to prohibiting them.

Whats wrong wtih two consenting adults getting messed up on their substance of choice. Why does the govt need to get involved at all?

By the way when you have trouble with your teeth trying asking a dentist not a truck driver.

To check your options try google, just like your little 'friend' did - its really really easy (for most people) to make an informed decision these days. So much better than when we had to go to the library to research things.

Clap clap snigie you've helped bring this discussion to a conclusion...

To whoever said about how the government doesn't need to be involved: Uh we have a government to run this country and to look after the welfare of the people so things don't get out of hand and we destroy ourselves or others, hence the reason we have laws etc.
Im in NO way saying we got things sussed AT ALL but im saying the government ought to step into to help minimize people getting harmed. Not by banning but by restrictions to reduce overdose and to also turn people away from A-Class alternatives.

Meet the peoples needs but don't be ignorant to the consequences.

Aussie Stats from Deaths

Tobacco = 19,019
Alcohol = 2,831
Motor Accidents = 1,731

ILLEGAL DRUGS = 863
and I would assume those deaths from illegal drugs are from miss use, ignorance, crappy drugs, or poor ppl that shouldnt be buying drugs instead of FOOD and WATER and SHELTER. Never overlook the obvious.

As for the 'War on Drugs'and illegalisation of research and desinger (yummy) chemicals. Well I live in Adelaide, Australia and Ive been able to buy a kilo of whatever for over 10 years of my adult life (27).
