Immunity Jeopardizes Iraq Probe

Immunity Jeopardizes Iraq Probe
Potential prosecution of Blackwater guards allegedly involved in the shooting deaths of 17 Iraqi civilians last month may have been compromised because the guards received immunity for statements they made to State Department officials investigating the incident, federal law enforcement officials said yesterday. FBI agents called in to take over the State Department's investigation two weeks after the Sept. 16 shootings cannot use any information gleaned during questioning of the guards by the department's Bureau of Diplomatic Security, which is charged with supervising security contractors.
Some of the Blackwater guards have subsequently refused to be interviewed by the FBI, citing promises of immunity from State, one law enforcement official said. The restrictions on the FBI's use of their initial statements do not preclude prosecution by the Justice Department using other evidence, the official said, but "they make things a lot more complicated and difficult."
When you privatize the military, and you are fighting an unpopular war it gives the contractor an unbelievable amount of political power, not only are these mercenaries free from any prosecution in Iraq for killing Iraqi’s, they are cut incredible immunity deals by the ‘Bureau of Diplomatic Security’, which sounds like the ‘Bureau of Diplomatic Arse covering’. The credibility of America has been so eroded that they have nothing to lose by protecting their paramilitary for profit mercenaries.

Dear Christian Prudence

Under the policies published in our Calendar you are eligible for a refund only if you meet the criteria set out in section 16 of the Enrolment and Programme Regulations (see page 21 of the current Calendar)

You do not appear to satisfy the criteria. You were responsible for your violent and unacceptable behaviour which resulted in you being trespassed off campus.

I am advised that as course work and a test makes up 50% of your final mark and that as you have not submitted any coursework or taken the test your current mark is zero. In these circumstances there is no possibility that you can pass the course by sitting the examination.

In any event, you have been aware of your situation for some weeks and have done nothing to follow up on your course requirements or to seek special arrangements to sit the examination in another location. As your examination is set down for today it is far too late to consider a special examination centre given the time and costs involved in organising such a centre. Details are set out in the Examination Regulations (see pages 39 – 47 of the current Calendar).

I trust this makes the University’s position clear.

Like it says "you have been aware of your situation for some weeks and have done nothing to follow up on your course requirements or to seek special arrangements to sit the examination in another location". Maybe instead of going out getting into more fight and smoking P you should have been ringing up the university to find out what your options were. I know I would have if this had happened to me and I had paid a significant amount of money.

How embrassing, being beaten the Keesing, a p head loser and then by a group of muslims. You deserve to be failed. And you're probably a BA student to boot.
