Key reverses stance on cash for families
National is still outwardly confident its election-year tax-cut package will impress voters, despite the fact that it has adopted another Labour policy - this time Working For Families - and further restricted the amount of money it has to spend. National leader John Key yesterday pledged his party would keep the Working For Families tax credit scheme intact if it wins power. He said the commitment extended to keeping inflation-adjusted increases to Working For Families payments and included the October 1 rises that were announced in May's Budget. It is quite a turnaround for Mr Key, who has previously labelled the tax credit scheme "a giant welfare package" and criticised the idea of families who earn more than $100,000 a year getting extra government payments. National has now moved to adopt - or neutralise - interest-free student loans, the nuclear-free stance, ownership of Kiwibank and other state-owned enterprises, the New Zealand Superannuation Fund and Working For Families.
The list of Labour Party costs that John is agreeing to adopt all on top of a much larger slice of tax cut is now starting to look like quack economics – where is Mr Key intending to find all the budget to not only match all of Labours large social spending but also find the cash to throw at tax cuts. His sudden U-turns on issues that he has voiced ideological opposition to suggests he either doesn’t believe his ideological leanings in the first place or he’s being crosby-textered and this is one of those lies he will simply dump the second he’s in power. Conspiracy aside – I would love to see where in Gods name he intends to find all this magical money that will pay for everything.

The National Party have the nation on the hook, and are desperate not to screw it up.
This is a party desperate to have its cake, and eat it too.
For instance:
They propose abolishing the Maori seats, but are eager to negotiate with the Maori Party.
They propose having a referendum on MMP, but won't condemn Winston in case they need NZ First.
They promise no privatisations, but are still trying to bring the private sector into state industries.
They propose tax cuts while keeping public services, all during a recession.
Bizarro world must be great!

John Key is merely attempting to buy as many votes as he can from Labour supporters through mirroring the WFF program, Kiwi Saver, and promising tax cut's to middle class Labour supporter's.
Mr. Key has no intention of altering his course from the racist platform National has maintained for years. Don't believe what he say's - rely on what he has DONE in the past, not what he promises to do in an election year.
It might well be time for a change, but a change to National will be a disaster in the making for NZ.
Ask Mr. Key how he intends to see ACC privatisation accomplished by removing the employer pay in requirement, and placing the burden of cost on the shoulder of the taxpayer for health and accident cover. Ask Mr. Key how he intends to educate our kids for the future by doing away with 0-interest loan's for struggling students while the cost of living continues to go through the roof. Ask Mr. Key ANYTHING, and you get the same completely evasive "we'll get back to you" policy statement's in order to distract you away from the LACK of ANY policy National maintain.
Funny how Labour get criticised for coming up with solutions, but National have no policies going forward of their own creation and need to fall back on those that they criticise Labour for to cover their real intentions. Ha ha ha.
Mr. Key, Halloween falls on the 30th of October every year, and April Fool's Day is only on the 1-st of April. Quit trying to pull the "Trick or Treat, and make believe" crap on us full time please! - we're not all gullible sheep! The Gullible Sheep are the ones who fall for your bullshit stories about representing ALL New Zealander's interest. That is, unless you consider us all to have vested interest's in the Financial and Insurance sectors who stand to profit enormously from your cost cutting measures waged against the social backbone of this country. The working class.
For Christ sake, if it looks like a Duck, and quacks like a Duck, and it's name is "Daffy", then the quack economic's you describe coming out of Key's mouth IS a f---ing Duck! You don't need a road map to the Oasis being created around the National sink-hole of elitism and racist exclusionism - it has lot's of flashing lights already to show you what's on their agenda if you just LOOK.
