It's over climate denial - man made pollution IS causing the planet to warm

Come on Climate Deniers, it's over now, let's just forget all the nasty bitter bullshit you have fought with right up until the end, but it's over now okay? Man made pollution is causing the Planet to heat, so say 97–98% of the 1372 climate Scientists involved in this peer reviewed Journal article...

Expert credibility in climate change
97%-98% of the climate researchers most actively publishing in the field support the tenets of ACC outlined by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, and (ii) the relative climate expertise and scientific prominence of the researchers unconvinced of ACC are substantially below that of the convinced researchers.

The mainstream media better pick up on this story, the amount of time they have given deniers to spout bullshit is embarrassing and they have a responsibility to show that the near majority of scientists involved in this field of science actually do back up the IPCC findings!

Man made pollution is causing the planet to warm up, we need to be talking about sustainable methods of economy that will produce jobs as well as fund research technology change NOW. We've wasted enough time listening to oil company spin lines chanted by the echo chambers of right wing blogs.

Hahaha, "peer review." You must be more intelligent than that.

Stomp and pout, Bradbury, stomp and pout.

Wrong again bomber. your attempt to bring a new world order funded by your socialist masters will fail.

So-called deniers actually are aware of the facts.
Temps are reducing while CO2 levels are not.
By a strange coincidence solar activity is reducing at the same time. Solar cycle 24 looks like it is going to be very low. We are in for cold not warm and it does not matter what the CO2 level is.
Keep up the trash talk Tossmeke it doesn't fool anyone with even half a brain.

Notice how it's now referred to as ACC, not AGW. Yet Bomber's headline says it's over the planet warming?

These subtleties are probably lost on you Bomber.

Children, I'm hearing a lot of stamping and shouting but no actual argument against these scientists or the veracity of the study. I understand this is a difficult adjustment for you all, and losing something you have clung to so tightly is a little unnerving, but it's time to move on and find a new hobby chaps because climate denial is a dead lie that no longer has any relevance in the debate now.

The temperatures over the last 150 years and the poor relationship to CO2 increases is one of many reasons to totally disprove AGW.

The world is getting colder due to less solar activity. Bomber, an AGW devotee, will still believe in this nonsense when we all start freezing half to death. Unfortunately colder weather and the problem this will cause is the future.

I've never denied the climate is changing. Never, ever.

The climate has changed for over 4million years. Always will do.

Your article was submitted in December 2009.

In June 2010, it was refuted.

The UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change misled the press and public into believing that thousands of scientists backed its claims on manmade global warming, according to Mike Hulme, a prominent climate scientist and IPCC insider. The actual number of scientists who backed that claim was “only a few dozen experts,” he states in a paper for Progress in Physical Geography, co-authored with student Martin Mahony.

“Claims such as ‘2,500 of the world’s leading scientists have reached a consensus that human activities are having a significant influence on the climate’ are disingenuous,” the paper states unambiguously, adding that they rendered “the IPCC vulnerable to outside criticism.”

Hulme, Professor of Climate Change in the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of East Anglia – the university of Climategate fame — is the founding Director of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research and one of the UK’s most prominent climate scientists. Among his many roles in the climate change establishment, Hulme was the IPCC’s co-ordinating Lead Author for its chapter on ‘Climate scenario development’ for its Third Assessment Report and a contributing author of several other chapters.

Hulme’s depiction of IPCC’s exaggeration of the number of scientists who backed its claim about man-made climate change can be found on pages 10 and 11 of his paper, found here.

Bomber you need to read beyond the headlines.

I'm intrigued to know by which authority the deniers speak with such assurance? Is there a scientist amongst you? Have any of you studied beyond the blogs that re-enforce the convenient beliefs you already hold?
Please do tell, because your posts all seem to lack any links, any scientific evidence, anything really rather than rhetoric and personal attack, not very compelling.
Unfortunately this debate is now clouded by political ideology rather than rational scientific discovery.
I have to say although I appreciate that Science can never be absolute, a gambling man would put his bet on the vast majority of the worlds scientists and would pursue a path of caution, which encouraged thinking more recent than the combustion engine - a 200yr old idea responsible for generations of war - before a bunch of conspiracy theorists.
Luddites, Crusaders and Jihadists have stolen the world, a sad indictment of our so called civilization. Time for some new technology and thinking, whatever transpires!

Yeah right, I remember the last time peer review used in relation to climate change.

What a tui moment.

You warmists had your chance but blew it through deception, suppressing evidence and manipulating the science.

No amount of 'peer review' and whitewashing can cover up to the lies.

Sounds more like a cry of desperation from a losing cause Bomber.

I think we need a new world order to get any progress in building a space station and space exploration...But on the subject of scientists, don't the scientist the conspiracy groupies support (on first impression) look and sound dumber?

"You warmists had your chance but blew it through deception, suppressing evidence and manipulating the science."

'There was no scientific scandal, only scientific stupidity. There was no attempt to hoax the world into believing that climate change exists, just excessive secrecy. There was no panicky cover-up to hide rigged data, for no data was rigged. There was no cabal of scientists cooking up fake evidence of catastrophe. There is, however, a real crisis of the most extreme nature: evidence suggests that climate change is real, urgent and increasing. Nothing about the so-called Climategate affair challenges that fact.'........

Your correspondent needs to read beyond the deniosphere.

The supposed statement by Mick Hulme is not a refutation of Anderegg et al. That paper is about credibility, and demonstrates very nicely that very, very few credible scientists disagree with the broad IPCC picture.

At the same time, Hulme was being misquoted. He issued an immediate clarification when the National Post story was published. See here: http://deepclimate.org/2010/06/15/mike-hulme-sets-lawrence-solomon-and-marcmorano-straight/
