Dear Affco - David Shearer doesn't visit scum
Affco, the company at the centre of a long-running employment dispute, is disappointed Labour leader David Shearer visited workers on the picket line but didn't visit management.
Dear Affco (or should that be Dear Sherson Willis?) the reason David Shearer didn't visit Affco is because being the leader of the Labour Party, David Shearer doesn't visit scum.
Let's be clear, a corporate making $20 million in profits, taken over by a family worth $300 million using hunger as a negotiating tactic to crush their workers is nothing short of scum.
To use the 5000 children who are reliant on those jobs as collateral damage makes Affco nothing but scum.
To redefine locked out workers as strikers so that those hundreds of families were no longer eligible for the emergency benefit makes Affco scum.
Affco have used tactics so low, they make the Ports of Auckland look like a good employer. The social damage this filthy rich company and their filthy rich family are prepared to wage on some of the most vulnerable workers in the country should be decried from every NZer who cares about social justice.
That's why I will always boycott Talley's.
Scum.

I was watching tv , God help me and I watched a casual poll taken to see if who knew certain politicians names and what they did . I was aghast at how so few knew who the most popular politicians were . I would be ashamed of myself if I was that ignorant but most just giggled like idiots and shrugged their shoulders as if it didn't matter . It's like shooting fish in a barrel for AFFCO/Talleys . No wonder they're rich while their workers are one pay check away from bankruptcy .
wait a minute...surely D Shearer can do better than, I quote, "six bags of groceries from Pak & Slave". Mr UN must have some food sources or donations stashed somewhere...and since when is it not the government's job to become involved in industrial issues, again I quote, Mr Key this time, which are costing millions to the economy. What exactly is the governments job, because it doesn't seem to be getting it done. Is help required of the Queen?
@ Francis jane ... Yes ! You are dead on the money ! Our Government is paid by us to act for us in our best interests . That's all they have to do ! So , in light of that ... Yes we do need help from the Queen . We need a Royal Commission of Inquiry into the past and present relationships between our dodgy , greedy , psychopathic , pathologically lying politicians and our big , flash , fancy business ' leaders ' . I ask you ! Where is our money ? Where is safety for our kids , much less their food , education and health ? Where is our job security ? Where is our health system ? Where is our rail infrastructure ? Where the fuck is our electricity now that winter bears down ? Where's our food ? Where's our fish because our super markets sure don't fucking have any ? Where's our LPG ? Where's our best minds ? I could go on , and I would but I'm sure my blood pressure is well off the scale . I watched John Tamihere and a few learned people on TV this morning wringing their hands for the 230,000 thousand Kiwi kids on or below the poverty level . All they really did was talk ! Talk , talk , talk ! Jesus wept ! And I must say , none of them looked hungry or disadvantaged either and I'm drawn to ponder what their annual salaries might be . Here's an idea , call me old fashioned if you must but why not write a letter to HRH QE 2 . Tell her [ what's been going on here ] and ask her/ them for help ! They all seem friendly enough . More friendly than any banker or financial fucking expert I've ever seen on TV . Go on ! What have you got to lose and you must remember , as anachronistic as one might think the Monarchy may be , to say the least , they're still our head of State . Not Citibank , Goldman Sachs or any other dodgy fucking Bankster entity . Like it or not , we're a member of the British Empire and I bet ! I bet they're only waiting to be asked for help and all the Gods only know , we need it .
