NZ Herald continues with David Farrar as a columnist
The NZ Herald is yet to give me a time table as to when they will increase their political balance in the wake of appointing propagandist and online mouth piece for the Government, David Farrar as their online political columnist.
The NZ Herald is the largest daily newspaper in NZ, and what they do matters. If it is really acceptable that a propagandist like Farrar is appointed minus ANY counter opinion, then the fact will be that the NZ Herald is as fair and balanced as Fox News.
I complained 3 weeks ago, the NZ Herald replied they would look into it, I am still waiting to hear their response to such an appalling appointment.
Hate speech proponent and beneficiary eugenics supporter Cathy Odgers, the blogger who missed ACT's coup and claimed Mana would never launch claims that David's appointment is fine because it's just me being jealous. The petty, spiteful and childish nature of Cathy's conclusion says more about her than it does it does about me. The issue isn't who the NZ Herald appoints, that is their right as a free press, but in terms of balance in our largest daily Newspaper, it is as unacceptable to appoint a stooge like Farrar minus any pretense of balance whatsoever. It's like appointing Kyle Chapman as the new Race Conciliator or Paul Henry as the new head of the Broadcasting Complaints Authority. In Cathy Odger's lonely gated world that type of one sidedness is celebrated, in the real world we demand more from our media in terms of balance. If this is really acceptable, if appointing a propagandist who actually runs fucking polls for the Government minus any balance is acceptable in an election year - then the NZ Herald is as fair and balanced as Fox News and they deserve a campaign of contempt for the remainder of the year as merely another vehicle for right wing corporate media vomiting spin lines, and in the case of Farrar, they will be the EXACT same spin lines!

Seriously, if you read Farrar's site objectively you would see that he's a fairly balanced right-leaning blogger that has the maturity to stick it to the government when they've rightly fucked up. Where as you are the dictionary definition of a Left Wing Nut Job (LWNJ for short). How old are you Bomber? I assume you're in your thirties but you write like a petulant teenager with such outdated stereotypes of right/left politics that your commentary is meaningless. For fuck's sake, grow up! Then you might get a few more people viewing and commenting on your blog. Your comment count is frankly pathetic. And anyone can see that you are plainly envious of Farrar and the number of visitors and comments on his blog compared to your pathetic numbers which barely reach double digits most of the time. Look at the paltry view count of your youtube videos. Hilarious! Why on earth do you think the NZ Herald would be the slightest bit interested in a blogger of your laughable status. Get your visit and comment count up and maybe they'll consider it.

1: That you have stolen my profile nickname 'bomber' suggests you are not an honest broker in this issue at all, and if you post elsewhere I will contact Blogger and have your profile name revoked. You should use your own identity to comment, not steal mine, that is pretty dirty and I think ost readers will agree.

This is just an outright lie, Farrar is the number one apologist and propagandist for the Government online, he's their fucking pollster for Christ's sake, to pretend he is some 'honest broker' is just a pretense and beneath our collective intelligence.

As the Editor in Residence at the Wintec School of Journalism, I beg to differ. If I was as worthless as your claim, I don't think I would be on Radio NZ as a commentator, Q+A as a commentator, The Nation as a commentator and of course Back benchers as a commentator. Where are your invites to commentate on the issues? I was right when I was on backbenchers last year about Mana launching despite your right wing mates claiming otherwise and I was well ahead of David on the ACT coup in Epsom. The War on News and Citizen A continue to be some of Stratos TV's most popular shows.

Again, this isn't true, Tumeke has risen every month in the number of people visiting throughout this year, in fact we are on our way to 40 000 hits this month. You are twisting what I am saying about the NZ Herald. The issue is for them to have balance in an election year, you are denigrating Tumeke and me when I have not suggested Tumeke or I be added for the balance against Farrar - I have listed who they should look to for their online balance, Idiot-Savant, Russell Brown, Chris trotter or any number of brilliant feminist bloggers over at Hand Mirror.

Again you twist what I'm saying to make this about me. This is about the balance of the largest Daily Newspaper in nz - you have stolen my online identity to defend Farrar and the NZ Herald while attacking me while ignoring the issues of balance and fairness by the mainstream media.
In terms of you tube hits, they don't count those viewing the show on tv (Stratos has jumped to over a million viewers per month since going onto freeview, it now rates higher than maori tv), on Scoop or on facebook.
This week Penny Hulse and Niki Kaye are on Citizen A, if they thought the show was so worthless, I don't think they would show up.
So in short, you are utterly wrong and when your claims are scrutinized they all turn out to be lies, and you don't actually deal with the issue of our largest newspaper becoming as fair and balanced as fox news.
Thank you for posting though, i love handing out public spankings as comprehensive as this one, i now understand why you have stolen my identity to hide yours, because I wouldn't want to be identified after getting nailed like this either.
