#kony2012 the first viral lynchmob
I am fascinated by all of this. We are talking about targeting this monster (and that he is a monster is of zero doubt), but he is a monster that lives in a world of rules. This amounts to a mass lynch mob, what are we really suggesting here? That the US invades another country to hunt down and assassinate a man? Because he's unlikely to be 'captured'. Are we really doing this? The 'awareness' thing is great, yes we should be appalled at the vacuum poverty creates that has people commit these terrible crimes inside it, but putting on the blinkers and screaming 'charge' is about as counter productive as one could possibly suggest.
That the sense of justice is aroused in people is noble, but blindly calling for the invasion and capture/assassination of someone seems like mass insanity.
This isn't Warlord Idol.

You have a point there Bomber, 'who are they to go into someone else's country and take over' - I get that...but really, how are Uganda going to rebuild with this 'monster' in the way? It's like every other evil dictator in history, they don't stop and repent of their sins do they? It's obvious his death won't cure the country, but its a start. Something more productive than cynicism that is for sure.
