Sunday News Roast Election Wrap

On the Sunday News Roast tonight at 7pm, Sky Digital 65, Alt Tvs News and weekend newspaper critique show that is Unfair & Unbalanced, THE SPIN STARTS HERE with the best political news team on television with your host, Bomber - head of Current Affairs at Alt Tv, Phoebe Fletcher from the Auckland University Film, Television and media department, Tim Selwyn - the last man to be convicted of sedition in NZ and Ben Thomas the Political Editor of the NBR.

Obama’s win

Winston’s Legacy

Helen’s Legacy

Worst Media Coverage during the election?

TVNZ became a propaganda spin machine for the Nats this election.
1: Guy’s ‘moral authority of the most seats’ farce was appalling.
2: The morning after the last debate ONE News claimed most commentators gave it to John Key when that simply wasn’t true
3: And TV ONE kept referring to Brian Edwards as a former Labour Party Candidate when he was giving a positive view of Labour, but they never profile Paul Henry who week daily kept shitting on the Greens and Labour as a failed National Party Candidate.

The magic Treasury Paper from on high – when do we expect it?

How far to the right will we go, Rodger Douglas is back in cabinet isn’t he?

What are NZers expectation, do they really understand the “change” they got – or was it the ‘we hate Helen brigade’?

Phil Goff’s BBQ must be getting warmed up?

National and ACT margins – who thought there were that many angry white people who believed in the nanny state myth and what was the article that John Key wrote in the far, far, far right Libertarianz magazine just after he came to Parliament that was only revealed for the first time today on Eye to Eye?

Maori Party peaked too soon, will a token position within a right wing government inoculate them to backlash from right wing policies?

How did the low voter turn out effect things - only 77%

The Greens – won the battle lost the war, hit by the stoner curse on election day once again.

Final word:

I must agree that I do look forward to the show and I too like it with all 4 on the panel, keep it up.
Poor old Winnie, no job and no baubles but oh how it could have been different had he only come clean from day one.His pig headeness is what got him kicked I reckon. He just got under peoples skin with his smarminess.I wonder what his fellow ex MPs think of him deep down because he also lost them their jobs aswell.Oh well now when Parliament sits and being broadcast they maybe able to get on with it now instead of stopping every couple of minutes for a " Winston POINT OF ORDER Peters "

The article in the "Libertarianz magazine" (it's called the Free Radical, actually) can be found here at my blog Pacific Empire.
